DANI STEFANUTTI
“For horses to become successful in their adult years, earning trust and instilling confidence in their early associations with humans is integral. I feel very blessed to have worked beside such a talented horseman as Mark Fraser.” Dani Stefanutti
A horse trainer’s daughter, Dani has always been immersed in everything equine and spent her teenage years competing in showjumping, dressage and eventing. For the last 13 years, Dani has been coaching riders, training horses and starting young horses under saddle – with opportunities both competing and working across Australia, Belgium, England and the Netherlands.
Dani has previously worked on 3 year old horses who have had limited interaction with humans in the early stages – resulting in a myriad of issues that take time to heal. Dani is passionate about working with foals and training horses from their first interaction with humans – a pivotal stepping stone in shaping a horse’s temperament.
In 2021, Dani began working alongside Mark Fraser, handling his beautifully bred Tulara “brumbies”. From halter training the weanlings and float loading to preparing them for their new homes, Dani’s handling of the foals instills confidence from the get go.
Dani’s training methods are based on behavioural science – a solid foundation of anatomy and biomechanics, and most importantly, the understanding that every horse is an individual with its own unique personality. Each foal has its strengths and weaknesses, and differing opinions on what feels difficult or easy to them as they learn. Dani adapts to each foal by building trust, nurturing confidence and fostering positive relationships – setting them up for success as they go on to develop into magnificent showjumpers.
